The owners of this Irish bar dubbed the place "Gunther" Murphy's as a tribute to the German restaurant that used to occupy the site. These days, taps operated by the Irish bar staff flow with imported beers, stouts and ales, including Guinness, Bass and Harp. A schedule of live music draws a diverse clientele — local rock and Irish bands play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The bands perform in Gunther's back room — with a raised stage and a scattering of tables and stools.
